Prosecco di Conegliano e Valdobbiadine DOC was officially recognized in 1969 and comprises an area of 4,200 hectares of vineyards situated at altitudes between 50 and 500 metres. The scenic Prosecco wine-route runs some 50km between the two main centers; Conegliano and Valdobbiadine, meandering through charming, small villages and hilltop hamlets such as S. Pietro di Feletto, Refrontolo, Pieve di Soligo, Col San Martino and Farra di Soligo.
